Congratulations on purchasing the VPAD. The VPAD is the most innovative videophone device available. Are you ready to get started with the step-by-step set up process?
In order to use your VPAD, you must create a Viable Screen Name (VSN). If you already have one, great! If not, you need to go to http://www.viable.net and click on New User? Follow steps 1 and 2. Viable will automatically send you a confirmation email. Check your email and click on the link to activate your VSN.
Now that you have your VSN, let's set up your VPAD! The VPAD will connect to the Internet immediately. No configuration is required. Connecting your VPAD will not affect your other video devices that are also connected. Connect the black power cord to the VPAD and to the wall. Next, connect your Ethernet cord. The Internet must be connected through your modem to your router and then the VPAD.
Now log in your VPAD with your VSN. Here's how, click on the white field foraible SN and enter your VSN and password. Save time by clicking on the box to remember your password. In the future, simply click on your VSN in "recent logins" to pre-populate your login fields.
Now that your VPAD is on, let's place a VRS call. While we do this, let's register your VPAD. Registering your VPAD helps our customer support representatives assist you. Click on "Relay" and type in 1-800-351-9578. Touch "call". Click on the VRS balloon and type in 1-800-351-9578 then touch "call".
Now call your family, friends, and co-workers via your VPAD using your VSN or IP address. Click on "Call" and then type in the person's VSN if they have a VPAD, or call the person's videophone by typing their IP address. Click on "Call".
