The FCC recently extended their deadline for 10-digit number registration from June 30, 2009 to November 12, 2009. You can read their announcement here:

Viable was one of eight VRS providers who jointly petitioned the FCC for this extension. We believe, among other things, that there is still a pressing need for community education.

We are relieved that VRS users without their own 10-digit number will still be able to make non-emergency calls past the original deadline of June 30, 2009.
